Job Title Special Education Teacher
Job Description Special educator in a resource room with responsibilities for teaching reading skills including decoding (Wilson Reading Program), fluency and comprehension for students in grades Kindergarten through grade 5. The special educator will need to administer formal and informal academic testing (including Woodcock Johnson, WIAT, and Test of Oral Language), write reports, present the findings at special education TEAM meetings and write Individual Educational Programs (IEPs). This position requires that the special educator regularly collaborate with general educators and other service providers (speech and language therapists and occupational therapists).
