DIRECTOR OF DEVELOPMENT/NEW INITIATIVES

Tri-City Community Action Program (Tri-CAP) is the multi-service, anti-poverty agency serving Malden, Medford, Everett and surrounding communities. Founded in 1978, Tri-CAP is organized to prevent the development and continuation of conditions which cause poverty or occur as a result of people living in poverty. Tri-CAP works through three agency divisions – Energy, Children and Family Services, and Advocacy and Community Services – to help low-income people meet their essential needs and take action to improve their lives.

Responsible for: Developing additional resources to enhance existing services and/or expand into new initiatives. Therefore, the Director of Development/New Initiatives will work with both the Board of Directors and senior Tri-CAP administrators to become familiar with programs, maintain/develop contacts with foundations and other funding sources, coordinate and assist in writing grants, and/or organize at least one fundraising activity.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred; 5-7 years relevant experience; demonstrated ability in resource development and/or grant-writing; excellent oral and written communication skills.

Hours: 40 hours/week

Salary: Upper $40’s to mid $50’s/year, depending upon qualifications and
experience
