The US Department of Commerce is taking applications for their Postsecondary Internship program. The intern would be responsible for assisting program managers with the management of major programs, creating reports and briefing documents, assisting with planning, implementing and evaluating scientific and economic programs, and assiting in reserach innovations to improve programs.
This internship is open to all US citizens enrolled as students in a 2-4 years institution. Both summer and academic-year internships are available on an on-going basis. All internships are paid and transportation is subsidized. Housing is available through each program partners at a cost to the intern.

Democracy Matters offers a paid internship on our campus for undergraduate students to work on "Organizing for Social Change." Democracy Matters is a national non-partisan organization that encourages student involvement in issues such as campaign finance reform, a reform that will change the way election campaings are funded. The program gives student interns a year of intense training and mentorship by our professional staff as they work to form a DM chapter on campus and promote outreach and activities that deepen democracy. Students also attend national DM conferences. The program is ideal for a rising sophomore or junior who is interested in politics, social change and/or political reform. The internship can be coordinated with your school's practicum or internship programs.
