VIDEO-PRODUCTION INTERN
This paid summer internship handles the electronic-media functions for the Des Moines Menace, Iowa's premier soccer team. Duties include:
Shoot and edit footage for Des Moines Menace games. This includes all of the team's Premier Development League action – both home and away. Must commit to traveling with the team to all road games.
Produce video spots to promote all Menace programs (PDL games, youth programs, community events).
Manage team's YouTube site and video-marketing.
Produce season highlight video.
General office work, including but not limited to paper-cutting, copying, managing databases, and filing paperwork.
Other projects and duties, as directed by Menace Director of Operations.
In addition to these role-specific responsibilities, you will play an active role in the marketing and operations that drive our organization. You will also help with game-day set-up and tear-down for home matches at Valley Stadium, as well as any other duties to help the organization.
Qualifications
Preferred working knowledge of Adobe Premier Elements editing software.
Comfortable using Canon GL2 video camera.
Experience videotaping sports, with a working knowledge of soccer.
Ability to take on video-production assignments from start to finish, producing high-quality, professional work.
Ability to effectively develop fun, creative YouTube marketing campaign that builds brand and gets people excited about Menace Soccer.
Self-motivated with a positive attitude and dedication to the organization's goals, mission, and values.
Proven team player who is willing to work nights and weekends and do what it takes to get the job done.
Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, and PowerPoint.
