A CALL TO SERVE will take place on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, 9:00am – 5:00pm at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Phoenix, during the American Humanics Management/Leadership Institute, an intensive 4 day educational symposium which provides the capstone experience in nonprofit management and leadership education to all American Humanics students. The cost for the day-long workshop is $125, and includes lunch, snacks, and a FREE Nonprofit Career Guide: how to land a job that makes a difference by Shelly Cryer. * key barriers to landing a nonprofit job, and strategies for overcoming those barriers

* tips for building connections to local and national nonprofits
* the nonprofit sector in Phoenix and surrounding states
* national efforts to recruit talent to the sector
