100 Hispanic Women, Inc. College Intern Position

Required Skills:
Candidate must possess verbal and written communication skills. A writing sample is required. A college junior is strongly preferred. Individual must be knowledgeable of basic office computer programs/technology (MS Office, Internet research, etc.) Web site experience is a plus.

The candidate must have good organizational skills, execute tasks in a timely fashion, and be detail oriented. Experience using FileMaker Pro is a plus. Preferably candidate should be bilingual (English/Spanish). Good work ethic is a must. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate. If intern shines at position, job placement assistance generally offered to toward end of internship.

Work Hours: 15 - 20 hours required per week, during the hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Compensation: $10.00 per hour

Sample Projects and Tasks:

• Drafting and preparation of correspondence, forms,
invitations and other printed material.
• Maintaining organization’s extensive membership database.
• Maintenance of office files, mail, telephone and follow-up
roneos, logs and lists.
• Attendance at meetings as required, and preparation of
Board and program meeting minutes.
• Maintenance of membership database files.
• Assist in organization’s events planning and implementation.
• Other tasks and activities as further defined and agreed.
