Central Virginia Community College has partnered exclusively with College Central Network^® to power its career management platform for its Career Center.

College Central Network is a robust career platform designed to provide job seekers with employment opportunities and career development resources, while providing a pipeline of new talent to business and industry. It features opportunities for part-time jobs, internships, and full-time employment, making the job search experience easier and more productive for you.

The platform also provides a quick, easy way to sign up for career fairs, workshops, résumé reviews, and appointments with Career Services staff. You'll find great job and internship opportunities here, as well as relevant career advice resources, including the award-winning College Central Podcast featuring over 125 quick dives into specific career related topics. Plus, you'll have access to the Job Agent, which automatically matches job opportunities to your unique profile.

To date, over six million jobs have been posted by more than two million employers, who are recruiting candidates through the Network—their one-stop shop for recruiting!

All users must be registered with the College Central Network (CCN) career services website for CVCC to use these free online career services.

Current students have been pre-registered for this service. Access your new account using the secure link you received via email or select the “Activate your account” link under the sign-in box to complete the registration process. You will need your 7 digit CVCC Student ID number and your CVCC email address to log in for the first time.

If you have already activated your account, then just sign in using your 7 digit CVCC Student ID number and your selected password.

Once registered, you may:

• Search for jobs posted exclusively to Central Virginia Community College and search the Jobs Central^® national job board.
• Build a résumé with Résumé Builder, or upload a résumé file to Resume Central^® so you can apply directly to jobs and/or allow it to be searched by employers (if you so authorize).
• Build an online portfolio in Career Portfolio Central^® to support your résumé and demonstrate your best work to employers.
• Review your job search history. Report offers/hires.
• Receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics.
• Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, career advice videos, podcasts, and career articles from over 125 authors.
• Search our Mentoring Network to find profiles of people who work in your fields of interest and contact them online.
• Central Virginia Community College offers a range of career development services to meet your needs.
• One-on-One assistance--Get help with career related issues, including résumés, cover letters, job search strategies and more
• Career Corner--View career handouts, resources, and use a computer with printer for career related activities (located in 2121 Amherst)
• Workshops--Educational programs are offered throughout the year on a variety of topics
• Career Fairs and On-Campus Recruitment--Employers visit campus to recruit students for job openings twice a year, as well as at other times on an individual basis

Once you have fully activated your account, you may change your email contact information if desired and future notifications will be sent to your preferred account. Your User ID will remain the 7-digit CVCC student ID number and cannot be changed.

CVCC Alumni are invited to join our free College Central Network career services website for Central Virginia Community College. Once registered, you will have access to all services, which include job listings, a résumé builder, and a wide variety of resource materials.

Alumni registrations will be verified and approved prior to final account activation. Alumni should just click on "Sign Up" to get started.
