The heart of TeachOverseas' ministry is Christlike service through excellent teaching. Being known as a dedicated teacher who believes in Jesus is a powerful testimony, especially in a country that has limited access to the Gospel.

1. Meet Real Needs In A Practical Way.

Students around the world eagerly desire to learn English. They know that English gives them access to work and study opportunities that will improve their situations. As a teacher, you provide a needed service that can dramatically impact students' lives.

2. Gain Access to Closed Countries.

TeachOverseas opens doors to countries that are closed to most Christian workers. Through teaching, you can legitimately minister to people with limited access to the Gospel. Your service, in the spirit of Christ's love, can be a powerful testimony.

3. Receive Excellent Pre-Field Training.

Christianity Today calls TeachOverseas "one of the finest models of preparedness." TeachOverseas' interactive training prepares you to be an excellent teacher, a sensitive cross cultural worker and a supportive team member.

4. Stay Supported on the Field.

TeachOverseas is a team-based ministry with a structured accountability system. Teammates, in-country leadership and regional directors based in the United States provide encouragement and guidance throughout the year.

1. Am I qualified? Qualified candidates are committed Christians and native/fluent English speakers. No prior teaching or ministry experience is needed.

2. How is TeachOverseas funded? Candidates raise financial support to cover the basic costs of the ministry. Support levels vary according to host country and length of service.

3. What does TeachOverseas provide? TeachOverseas provides comprehensive training and field support. Your overseas arrangement includes housing and a modest living stipend.

4. Do I need to speak a foreign language? No. Classes are entirely in English. Basic language is covered in training and school administrators speak enough English to help as necessary.

We Believe In:

• Opening doors of opportunity for Christians to explore God's calling to overseas service.

• Providing excellent training and field support.

• Advancing students' educational level and quality of life.

• Appropriately communicating the Good News with our lives, service and words.

• Partnering with local churches for the spiritual growth of God's family.
