About Our Services

Clark State College has partnered exclusively with College Central Network® to power its career management platform for its Career Services Office.

College Central Network is a robust career platform designed to provide job seekers with employment opportunities and career development resources, while providing a pipeline of new talent to business and industry. It features opportunities for part-time jobs, internships, and full-time employment, making the job search experience easier and more productive for you.

The platform also provides a quick, easy way to sign up for career fairs, workshops, résumé reviews, and appointments with Career Services staff. You'll find great job and internship opportunities here, as well as relevant career advice resources, including the award-winning College Central Podcast featuring over 125 quick dives into specific career related topics. Plus, you'll have access to the Job Agent, which automatically matches job opportunities to your unique profile.

To date, over six million jobs have been posted by more than two million employers, who are recruiting candidates through the Network—their one-stop shop for recruiting!

For Students

Students have been pre-registered to use Clark State Career Services CCN services. Select the Activate link to complete the registration process.

  • Your user ID is your Student ID number including the leading 0
  • Your email address is your student email, make sure to include @students.clarkstate.edu

Once registered, you may:

  • Search for jobs posted exclusively to Clark State College and search the Jobs Central® national job board.
  • Build a résumé with Résumé Builder, or upload a résumé file to Resume Central® so you can apply directly to jobs and/or allow it to be searched by employers (if you so authorize). Your résumé will be reviewed by our office and must be approved before it can be sent to employers or submitted online to posted jobs.
  • Build an online portfolio in Career Portfolio Central® to support your résumé and demonstrate your best work to employers.
  • Review your job search history. Report offers/hires.
  • Receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics.
  • Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, career advice videos, podcasts, and career articles from over 125 authors.

So whether it’s an example of a capstone project or flyer you designed, seeing your work can make an impact on employers. An e-portfolio is a great tool for your job search toolbox that will set you apart from the competition and give employers a glimpse of what you bring to the table.

Our online Employer Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

You must register your organization with our office prior to accessing these services. Once your registration is reviewed, if it is approved you will receive an email which includes a link to activate your account.

Career Services has developed the following procedures to ensure that Clark State students and alumni are treated fairly and are being recruited for viable positions. The career center reserves the right to choose the companies, agencies, organizations and schools for recruiting privileges. Companies, agencies, organizations or schools who meet one or more of the following definitions shall be denied recruiting privileges:

  • Commission-Only Employment and Entrepreneurial Opportunities – Employers and individuals offering employment/entrepreneurial opportunities who do not pay a base salary equal to or greater than the federal minimum wage and comply with federal, state and local regulations.
  • Upfront Product Purchase – Employers and individuals offering employment/ entrepreneurial opportunities requiring prospective employees to purchase products, training or services upfront.
  • Individuals not associated with a verifiable organization, company, or agency requesting work to take place at a private residence (i.e.: caregiver, babysitter, tutor, landscaping, care attendant).
  • “Pyramid” or “Multi-Level” Employers – Employers/individuals offering employment/ entrepreneurial opportunities based on a “pyramid” or “multi-level” type networking structure requiring or encouraging the recruitment of others who recruit others and so on to sell products and services.
  • Marijuana and Cannabis Industries – Employers involved with the use, production, promotion, testing, or distribution of recreational or medical marijuana. As the use of marijuana is illegal at the federal level, and Clark State College receives federal funds, we must comply with federal law. In addition, the use of marijuana violates the Drug-Free Schools and Communities Act and continues to be banned on campus.
