1) All on-campus visitors representing companies, educational institutions, churches, or agencies, for the purpose of recruiting, must be arranged and approved by the Office of Career Services (OCS) at Crown College (CC). These visits may include information tables, sessions, interviews, class visits, or other related means.

a) Employers scheduled for “On-Campus Recruiting Tables” must restrict all activities to the immediate vicinity of the table, unless other arrangements have been made through the Office of Career Services.

b) On-campus recruiting events cannot be combined with the marketing and/or sale of products or services to students, faculty and staff.

c) The College retains the right to request recruiters vacate College property, if they fail to comply with any of the policies or procedures outlined in this document or any other reasonable request from a College official.

2) An internship or career fair may be suggested for some recruiters as more practical than an on-campus visit.

3) Visitors are screened according to the compatibility of their policy, standards, or philosophy with the College's mission, vision, values, and statement of faith. The privileges of recruiting at Crown College can be revoked. It is expected that recruiters uphold affirmative action and equal opportunity laws.

4) For those visitors that present a conflict of interest with the College's perspective, alternatives such as email or phone contact and/or an office visit with OCS personnel or information materials kept on file in OCS, might be available.

5) Candidate prescreening for employers is not conducted. Student information is kept confidential, and the student is considered the initiator.

6) No employer or recruiter shall seek special favors from OCS personnel in regards to candidates as a result of a gift or special relationship with CC. All employers have equal access to our services and programs (with the exception of guidelines outlined in item 3).

7) OCS posts employment openings and seeks employment listings without investigation. Job seekers will use the information at their own risk; however, when a problem exists over a complaint or a fraudulent posting, OCS personnel will take appropriate action to clarify and rectify the situation. The privilege of posting jobs can be revoked at any time.

a.) A large percentage of Crown College students seek part-time and full-time professional opportunities that provide a starting wage/salary, and they are typically not interested in commission based or self-employment opportunities. As a result, we would like employers to promote hourly/salaried opportunities through our online internship/job posting site and on-campus recruiting opportunities. Also, we are unable to include opportunities that require a student to make any financial investment, such as purchase a sales kit, a background credit check, pre-employment testing, or to pay for a training class, as a condition of employment or during the initial stages of their employment.

b.) All internships/jobs are screened visually before they are activated. Submitting an opening only e-mails our office, and it isn't instantly posted. Actual posting on the website generally takes 1-2 business days. Crown College Office of Career Services doesn't place students in internships or jobs, and there is no guarantee that a Crown College student or alumnus will apply for or fill any position(s) posted. Crown College does not screen any applicants for any employers. Crown College reserves the right to not post any position(s) deemed inappropriate.

8) OCS personnel will not administer employment testing for an employer as part of the hiring process nor will mailing labels or lists be made available.

9) Third party recruiters as defined by the National Association of Colleges and Employers are required to disclose to students and OCS personnel the employers represented and the types of positions for which the third-party recruiter is recruiting. Recruiters must disclose the company name/contact information before a job announcement will be posted.

Thank you very much for your interest in our students and alumni. Please contact our office if you have any questions or if you would like additional information.
