Our Approach is Simple – We Train Students for Career Success
Our philosophy is that academic programs must have clear ties to employment outcomes to be a win-win for students and employers. Our academic programs reflect job-market trends and seek to meet areas of workforce need. Each of our programs is guided by a volunteer advisory board comprised of industry leaders. If our students fail to find employment in their chosen fields, we review our programs and see if changes are needed, in some cases eliminating those programs.

We Are Connecticut’s Only Career-Focused, Nonprofit, Independent University
Unlike many for-profit and online-only educational options, Goodwin University offers students degree programs that have been subjected to stringent accreditation and industry review. Goodwin University is accredited by the New England Association of School and Colleges, which means that all of our programs are peer-reviewed and held to high standards for academic excellence and student success. Several of our degree programs – including Medical Assisting, Nursing, Child Study, and Histology – are additionally accredited by leading academic and industry groups.

What We Do For You
We connect you with our students through job boards, networking events, and on-campus workshops – making it easy to get to know us, and our students!
