Guilford Technical Community College has partnered exclusively with College Central Network® to power its career management platform for its Career Services.
College Central Network is a robust career platform designed to provide job seekers with employment opportunities and career development resources, while providing a pipeline of new talent to business and industry. It features opportunities for part-time jobs, internships, and full-time employment, making the job search experience easier and more productive for you.
The platform also provides a quick, easy way to sign up for career fairs, workshops, résumé reviews, and appointments with Career Services staff. You'll find great job and internship opportunities here, as well as relevant career advice resources, including the award-winning College Central Podcast featuring over 125 quick dives into specific career related topics. Plus, you'll have access to the Job Agent, which automatically matches job opportunities to your unique profile.
To date, over six million jobs have been posted by more than two million employers, who are recruiting candidates through the Network—their one-stop shop for recruiting!
For Students
You must register with CCN to use the job board.
- Each semester students are pre-registered for this service. Simply click the word, "Activate" under the Password field to gain access.
- If you find this does not work and must create an account, PLEASE NOTE THAT YOUR USER ID FOR THIS SITE IS YOUR GTCC STUDENT ID#. THIS NUMBER CAN BE FOUND ON YOUR WEBADVISOR SITE IN MANY LOCATIONS. YOU MAY ALSO CONTACT AN ADVISOR AND ASK FOR YOUR STUDENT ID NUMBER. KEEP THIS IN A SAFE PLACE.
- If you cannot obtain your student ID, simply click the sign in option for "Community Resident" and create your account.
Once registered, you may:
- Search for jobs posted exclusively to Guilford Technical Community College and search the Jobs Central® national job board.
- Build a résumé with Résumé Builder, or upload a résumé file to Resume Central® so you can apply directly to jobs and/or allow it to be searched by employers (if you so authorize).
- Build an online portfolio in Career Portfolio Central® to support your résumé and demonstrate your best work to employers.
- Review your job search history. Report offers/hires.
- Receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics.
- Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, career advice videos, podcasts, and career articles from over 125 authors.
- Manage your on-campus interview schedules.
- When you register with CCN be sure to determine your job targets/major/area of interest so we can notify you of job openings that may match you and your qualifications.

- You also have the option of uploading your resume for employers to view when they do a search for candidates.
For Alumni
You must register with CCN to use our services.

For Employers
Our online Employer Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
You must register your organization with our office prior to accessing these services. Once your registration is reviewed, if it is approved you will receive an email which includes a link to activate your account.
If approved, depending on your access level, you will be able to use some or all of the services listed below:
- Job Posting
Post jobs targeted to Guilford Technical Community College students, alumni, community residents.
- Résumé Search
Search résumés of our students, alumni, community residents. When searching for alumni, your results may include community residents.
- Portfolio Search
Search career portfolios that have been prepared by our students, alumni, community residents.
- On-Campus Interviewing
In addition to posting on our Job Board, you may also post positions that involve on-campus interviews. An interview date will be scheduled after we review and approve your posting. You may then log in to check submissions, candidate status and schedules. On-campus interviews occur during specific times of the year. If you do not know our recruiting schedule, please contact us before posting your job.
- When you post job openings it will be matched to students in our database. An email will be generated to those students and alumni to alert them to your posting.
- Keeping your job targets/majors as general as possible will allow for the greatest dissemination of your posting via email to potential candidates.
Weekly recruitment opportunities and an annual career fair may also be of interest to you.
NOTE: GTCC does not permit multi-level marketing companies to post jobs on our site. In addition we do not allow them to participate in our job fairs or other recruiting events. Multi-level marketing is a form of direct selling. Generally, a multi-level marketer (MLM) distributes products or services through a network of salespeople who are not employees of the company and do not receive a salary or wage. Instead, members of the company’s salesforce usually are treated as independent contractors, who may earn income depending on their own revenues and expenses. An example would be Tupperware, Avon, Cutco Knives or Mary Kay.
For Community Residents
If you are a community resident who would like to search for jobs, you must first register. Please indicate that you are a Community Resident on your registration form. Once registered, you may also receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics.
