About Our Services

Inver Hills Community College has partnered exclusively with College Central Network® to power its career management platform for its Career Center.

College Central Network is a robust career platform designed to provide job seekers with employment opportunities and career development resources, while providing a pipeline of new talent to business and industry. It features opportunities for part-time jobs, internships, and full-time employment, making the job search experience easier and more productive for you.

The platform also provides a quick, easy way to sign up for career fairs, workshops, résumé reviews, and appointments with Career Services staff. You'll find great job and internship opportunities here, as well as relevant career advice resources, including the award-winning College Central Podcast featuring over 125 quick dives into specific career related topics. Plus, you'll have access to the Job Agent, which automatically matches job opportunities to your unique profile.

To date, over six million jobs have been posted by more than two million employers, who are recruiting candidates through the Network—their one-stop shop for recruiting!

For Students

You must register with CCN to use our services. All you need to create your account is your Star ID and a password.

Once registered, you may:

  • Search for jobs posted exclusively to Inver Hills Community College; search the Jobs Central® national job board and the Intern Central® national internship board.
  • Build a résumé with Résumé Builder, or upload a résumé file to Resume Central® so you can apply directly to jobs and/or allow it to be searched by employers (if you so authorize). Your résumé will be reviewed by our office and must be approved before it can be sent to employers or submitted online to posted jobs.
  • Build an online portfolio in Career Portfolio Central® to support your résumé and demonstrate your best work to employers.
  • Review your job search history. Report offers/hires.
  • Receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics.
  • Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, career advice videos, podcasts, and career articles from over 125 authors.
  • Manage your on-campus interview schedules.

Approved employers may post jobs.

If you need help with your resume make sure to upload your resume for online resume review services. Simply click on "manage resume", and upload your resume.

You will receive a resume review via email within 24-48 business hours.

The resume review function is a tool to allow you and the Director of Career Development to communicate about possible updates and changes for your resume in order to make it the best resume it possibly can be! Once your resume is "approved" you are able to store your resume on CCN (just like google docs!)

For Alumni

Before creating an account here; did you know that with one account you can have access to 12 Minnesota State Schools via Career Hub? Create a Career Hub Account in order to access Inver Hills students and Alumni and MANY more colleges within the Minnesota State system.

If you would like to ONLY access Inver Hills Students and Alumni, you can create a log in on this site. The log in for this site will NOT work with Career Hub.

You must register your organization with our office prior to accessing these services. Once your registration is reviewed, if it is approved you will receive an email which includes a link to activate your account.

If approved, depending on your access level, you will be able to use some or all of the services listed below:

  • Job Posting
    Post jobs targeted to Inver Hills Community College students, alumni.
  • Résumé Search
    Search résumés of our students, alumni.
  • Portfolio Search
    Search career portfolios that have been prepared by our students, alumni.
  • On-Campus Interviewing
    In addition to posting on our Job Board, you may also post positions that involve on-campus interviews. An interview date will be scheduled after we review and approve your posting. You may then log in to check submissions, candidate status and schedules. On-campus interviews occur during specific times of the year. If you do not know our recruiting schedule, please contact us before posting your job.
