About Our Services

Illinois Valley Community College has partnered exclusively with College Central Network® to power its career management platform for its Career Services Office.

College Central Network is a robust career platform designed to provide job seekers with employment opportunities and career development resources, while providing a pipeline of new talent to business and industry. It features opportunities for part-time jobs, internships, and full-time employment, making the job search experience easier and more productive for you.

The platform also provides a quick, easy way to sign up for career fairs, workshops, résumé reviews, and appointments with Career Services staff. You'll find great job and internship opportunities here, as well as relevant career advice resources, including the award-winning College Central Podcast featuring over 125 quick dives into specific career related topics. Plus, you'll have access to the Job Agent, which automatically matches job opportunities to your unique profile.

To date, over six million jobs have been posted by more than two million employers, who are recruiting candidates through the Network—their one-stop shop for recruiting!

For Students

You must register with CCN to use our services.

All students newly enrolled since Fall 2018 have been pre-registered to use our CCN services.

Students registered after Fall 2018: select the Activate link to complete the registration process.

If you have not registered yet and enrolled at IVCC prior to Fall 2018, select the “Sign Up” link.

If you already have an account, sign in.

Once registered, you may:

  • Search for jobs posted exclusively to Illinois Valley Community College; search the Jobs Central® national job board and the Intern Central® national internship board.
  • Build a résumé with Résumé Builder, or upload a résumé file to Resume Central® so you can apply directly to jobs and/or allow it to be searched by employers (if you so authorize). Your résumé will be reviewed by our office and must be approved before it can be sent to employers or submitted online to posted jobs.
  • Build an online portfolio in Career Portfolio Central® to support your résumé and demonstrate your best work to employers.
  • Review your job search history. Report offers/hires.
  • Receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics.
  • Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, career advice videos, podcasts, and career articles from over 125 authors.
  • Manage your on-campus interview schedules.

The IVCC internship courses are designed to give students an opportunity to utilize the principles and skills they have learned in the classroom and laboratory.

Career Services is IVCC's tracking hub for approved internship worksites and facilitates our students' internship course registration process.

For Alumni

For Employers

Our online Employer Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

You must register your organization with our office prior to accessing these services. Once your registration is reviewed and approved, you will receive an email which includes a link to activate your account.

NOTE: Eligible employers approved to access this site should consider the employment needs of our students and alumni.

Companies offering bona fide (salaried, not 100% commission, generates a W-2, not a 1099) full-time, part-time and seasonal job opportunities and internships may register for access to IVCC's CCN system.

If approved, depending on your access level, you will be able to use some or all of the services listed below:

  • Job Posting
    Post jobs targeted to Illinois Valley Community College students, alumni, community residents.
  • Résumé Search
    Search résumés of our students, alumni, community residents. When searching for alumni, your results may include community residents.
  • Portfolio Search
    Search career portfolios that have been prepared by our students, alumni, community residents.
  • On-Campus Interviewing
    In addition to posting on our Job Board, you may also post positions that involve on-campus interviews. An interview date will be scheduled after we review and approve your posting. You may then log in to check submissions, candidate status and schedules. On-campus interviews occur during specific times of the year. If you do not know our recruiting schedule, please contact us before posting your job.

Additionally, our office forwards program related opportunities from this source to the instructor(s) asking they share the information with their students as well, so it helps to be as detailed as possible when entering your posting's requirements.

For Community Residents
