Internships are an integral part of the Millikin educational experience; students in all fields have opportunities to intern in Decatur, nationally, and internationally.

International opportunities
Millikin sends students abroad to partner programs in the Dominican Republic, Taiwan, the Galapagos Islands, and South Africa for two-week Immersion courses to further their studies outside of the classroom.

Center for Entrepreneurship
The Center for Entrepreneurship engages business students in internships and professional opportunities in the local Decatur business community that focus on the development of skills in finance, marketing, information systems, accounting and management.

Millikin is part of the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) and students participate in 19 Division III athletic teams, as well as junior varsity and intramural sports. Nearly 50% of Millikin students are involved in athletics at some time during their four years. National Champions In 2005, Millikin's women's basketball team won the Division III National Championship title.
