Northeast Ohio Teacher Education Day (NOTED)
Teacher Fair

The Northeast Ohio Teacher Education Day (NOTED) is the premier teacher job fair in Northeast Ohio, connecting teacher job candidates with hiring officials from schools across the region, state, and nation. NOTED is hosted by a consortium of 12 colleges and universities from Northeast Ohio. Students and alumni from any of the consortium schools are welcome to attend.

Job Seekers

Thank you for your interest in attending NOTED as a candidate! Students and alumni from member institutions who are eligible to teach in the 2020-2021 school year may attend. Some institutions request that students register in advance, whereas other institutions will accept registrations at the door. Please see the list below to determine whether your university requests for you to register in advance:

      Cleveland State University: No registration required
      Hiram College: No registration required
      Lake Erie College: No registration required
      Malone University: No registration required

By participating in NOTED, you will have an opportunity to meet hiring officials from school systems across the region, state, and nation. The event will begin with an open job fair format allowing you to network with representatives from participating school districts. During the networking session, school systems may ask you to return for an initial screening interview during the late morning or the afternoon.

Schedule:

7:30 AM   Doors Open

7:30 AM -8:30 AM   Candidates will be directed to waiting rooms where they will complete registration cards. Participating school district information and a floor plan will also be distributed.

8:30 AM – 11:00 AM   Teacher Candidate Pre-screening. This is the only open period where students may network with school district representatives. Please be advised that there are often long waiting lines to meet with representatives from Northeast Ohio school districts. During the pre-screening period, some students may be invited to one or more afternoon interviews.

11:00 AM – 11:30 AM   Lunch (pay on your own) and optional interviewing time.

11:30 Am – 5:00 PM   Interviews by school district invitation only scheduled at 20 minute intervals.

Registration fee for this event:
$225

By participating in NOTED, you will have an opportunity to meet teacher and other certified candidates from 12 colleges and universities.

The event will begin with an open job fair format allowing you to network with candidates from participating schools and then individually interview candidates you select during the afternoon.

Early Bird registration is available until Friday, January 31, 2020. The fee is $210 and includes one representative. After Friday, January 31, 2020, the registration fee is $225 and includes one representative. There is a $50 charge for each additional representative. Registration will be open until Friday, March 13, provided space is available. Note:  No refunds after March 13, 2020.

Employers needing electricity will need to make separate arrangements and payment with the John S. Knight Center.  Information is available on the John S. Knight Center website and on the Electrical Services Order Form.
