The Olean Family YMCA is seeking a Marketing/Communications Intern


1. Help the YMCA develop a stronger, more impactful presence in social media.

2. Gain experience in nonprofit marketing and office procedures.

Weekly Duties

1. Under supervision, manage the YMCA of the Twin Tiers Instagram account. This includes taking pictures/videos and possibly interviewing Y members and program participants to share their Y stories.

2. Maintain the YMCA’s “Communication Station” – a Google Slides based format used to market YMCA programs and events in the lobby.

3. Assist in planning, writing and managing monthly electronic newsletters.

4. Manage the YMCA email list – importing new addresses each week and assisting in the creation of monthly member emails.

5. Assist in marketing/communications planning for various programs and initiatives.


1. Create and implement a marketing strategy for the YMCA membership department. Construct digital and print ads, large print banners, interior signage, social media/website graphics, posters/flyers promoting senior insurance partnerships.

2. Assist in marketing the 2019 “Salute to Olean” – creating the graphics and/or videos that will be used to promote the event on social media.

Bradford Ecumenical Home, Inc., a Continuing Care Retirement Community in Bradford, PA, is looking for an intern to join our team! This paid training program was created for undergraduate juniors or seniors who are pursuing a degree in Finance or Business Administration. This internship will be ideal for those who are interested in getting hands-on experience and learning more about the healthcare industry. During the program, interns will be placed with our Finance/Business team where they will be given all the tools and resources necessary to learn the trade.

Program Components:

• Expose intern(s) to the inner workings of the provision of services to seniors;

• Help inter(s) with personal and professional growth;

• Learn as much as intern(s) possibly can about our team; More importantly, understand how the intern(s) Finance/Business team fits into the bigger picture of our facility’s mission and goals;

• Intern(s) must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree;

• A team player who is willing to participate in the day-to-day operations of our Finance/Business team;

• Excellent written and verbal communication;

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools including Excel;

• Analytically minded, always wanting to know the “why;”
