Oakton Community College has partnered exclusively with College Central Network® to power its career management platform for its Career and Transfer Center.

College Central Network is a robust career platform designed to provide job seekers with employment opportunities and career development resources, while providing a pipeline of new talent to business and industry. It features opportunities for part-time jobs, internships, and full-time employment, making the job search experience easier and more productive for you.

The platform also provides a quick, easy way to sign up for career fairs, workshops, résumé reviews, and appointments with Career Services staff. You'll find great job and internship opportunities here, as well as relevant career advice resources, including the award-winning College Central Podcast featuring over 125 quick dives into specific career related topics. Plus, you'll have access to the Job Agent, which automatically matches job opportunities to your unique profile.

To date, over six million jobs have been posted by more than two million employers, who are recruiting candidates through the Network—their one-stop shop for recruiting!

For Students

For Employers

Employers can register and post job opportunities at NO COST. Employer services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Employers can post with either Oakton Community College exclusively or with the CCJobNet partnership. When an employer registers with CCJobNet their opportunities will be posted to ALL of the schools in the partnership.

You must register prior to accessing the job board. Once approved by Career Services or CCJobNet, you will receive an email which includes a link to activate your account.

If approved, depending on your access level, you will be able to use some or all of the services listed below:

  • Job Posting
    Post jobs targeted to Oakton Community College students, alumni, community residents.
  • Résumé Search
    Search résumés of our students, alumni, community residents. When searching for alumni, your results may include community residents.
  • Portfolio Search
    Search career portfolios that have been prepared by our students, alumni, community residents.
  • On-Campus Interviewing
    In addition to posting on our Job Board, you may also post positions that involve on-campus interviews. An interview date will be scheduled after we review and approve your posting. You may then log in to check submissions, candidate status and schedules. On-campus interviews occur during specific times of the year. If you do not know our recruiting schedule, please contact us before posting your job.
  • On-Campus Recruiting
    Career Services offers employers informal on-campus recruiting opportunities on both campuses. Recruiting times are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. throughout the school year. To schedule an on-campus recruiting day call 847.635.1735.
  • Internships

Oakton welcomes employment agencies, temporary staffing agencies and search firms to post their opportunities.  However, the ability to conduct resume searches will not be issued.

The CCJobNet partnership does not accept postings from employment agencies, temporary staffing agencies or search firms.

Job opportunities that are ineligible for listing at Oakton or with CCJobNet include, but are not limited to, in-home situations, independent businesses, independent marketing or sales for multilevel marketing companies while acting as an independent contractor. Oakton and the CCJobNet partnership does not promote opportunities where job seekers are required to provide a monetary commitment or that do not provide a guaranteed wage or compensation.
