About Our Services

Moraine Valley Community College has partnered exclusively with College Central Network® to power its career management platform for its Job Resource Center.

College Central Network is a robust career platform designed to provide job seekers with employment opportunities and career development resources, while providing a pipeline of new talent to business and industry. It features opportunities for part-time jobs, internships, and full-time employment, making the job search experience easier and more productive for you.

The platform also provides a quick, easy way to sign up for career fairs, workshops, résumé reviews, and appointments with Career Services staff. You'll find great job and internship opportunities here, as well as relevant career advice resources, including the award-winning College Central Podcast featuring over 125 quick dives into specific career related topics. Plus, you'll have access to the Job Agent, which automatically matches job opportunities to your unique profile.

To date, over six million jobs have been posted by more than two million employers, who are recruiting candidates through the Network—their one-stop shop for recruiting!

For Students

Welcome! The Moraine Valley Community College Job Resource Center provides tools to help you prepare a professional resume, search for jobs, and explore internship and career opportunities to help you take it to the next level. Please contact us at 708-974-5737 for more information or to request an individual appointment.

Once registered, you may:

  • Search for jobs posted exclusively to Moraine Valley Community College and search the Jobs Central® national job board.
  • Build a résumé with Résumé Builder, or upload a résumé file to Resume Central® so you can apply directly to jobs and/or allow it to be searched by employers (if you so authorize).
  • Build an online portfolio in Career Portfolio Central® to support your résumé and demonstrate your best work to employers.
  • Review your job search history. Report offers/hires.
  • Receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics.
  • Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, career advice videos, podcasts, and career articles from over 125 authors.
  • Search our Mentoring Network to find profiles of people who work in your fields of interest and contact them online.
  • To apply for a student employment position:
    • Access the Career Document Library: Locate the Career Document Library on your school's website or system.
    • Read the Instructions: In the Career Document Library, find and read the "READ: How to Apply for Student Employment".
    • Download the Application: Once you understand the application process, download the "Student Employment Application".
    • Complete the Application: Follow the instructions in the "How to Apply for Student Employment".
    • Upload the Application: Upload the completed application according to the instructions.
  • Important: The student employment application is the only required document. No Resumes!

Welcome! Connect with diverse job seekers including our students, alumni and community members. Our online services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week at no charge. You must register your organization with our office prior to accessing these services. Upon our approval, employers may post opportunities and utilize additional CCN features. Questions?     Search résumés of our students, alumni, community residents. When searching for alumni, your results may include community residents.

    Search career portfolios that have been prepared by our students, alumni, community residents.
