About Our Services

Rock Valley College has partnered exclusively with College Central Network® to power its career management platform for its Career Services Office.

College Central Network is a robust career platform designed to provide job seekers with employment opportunities and career development resources, while providing a pipeline of new talent to business and industry. It features opportunities for part-time jobs, internships, and full-time employment, making the job search experience easier and more productive for you.

The platform also provides a quick, easy way to sign up for career fairs, workshops, résumé reviews, and appointments with Career Services staff. You'll find great job and internship opportunities here, as well as relevant career advice resources, including the award-winning College Central Podcast featuring over 125 quick dives into specific career related topics. Plus, you'll have access to the Job Agent, which automatically matches job opportunities to your unique profile.

To date, over six million jobs have been posted by more than two million employers, who are recruiting candidates through the Network—their one-stop shop for recruiting!

For Students

Welcome to RVCJobs! Services are free and available to students, alumni and employers.

You must register to use our services. Current students should use the student ID number with a lowercase 's' preceding it (for example: s0123456).

Many students have been pre-registered to use our services. Select the "Activate" link to complete the registration process.

Once registered, you may:

  • Search for jobs posted exclusively to Rock Valley College and search the Jobs Central® national job board.
  • Build a résumé with Résumé Builder, or upload a résumé file to Resume Central® so you can apply directly to jobs and/or allow it to be searched by employers (if you so authorize).
  • Build an online portfolio in Career Portfolio Central® to support your résumé and demonstrate your best work to employers.
  • Review your job search history. Report offers/hires.
  • Receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics.
  • Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, career advice videos, podcasts, and career articles from over 125 authors.
  • Manage your on-campus interview schedules.

Welcome to RVCJobs Employer Services!

New to RVCJobs? Check-out our testimonials and event photos at the top of the page! You must create an account prior to accessing these services. Once your registration is reviewed, if it is approved, you will receive an email which includes a link to activate your account.

RVC requires only ONE company registration. You may share the User ID and password with employees in your organization, as you deem necessary. Duplicate accounts may be deleted.

Please allow a minimum of two (2) business days for registration approval.

If you have already registered, sign-in to begin using our services.

If approved, depending on your access level, you will be able to use some or all of the services listed below:

  • Job Posting
    Post jobs targeted to Rock Valley College students, alumni.
  • Résumé Search
    Search résumés of our students, alumni.
  • Portfolio Search
    Search career portfolios that have been prepared by our students, alumni.
  • On-Campus Interviewing
    In addition to posting on our Job Board, you may also post positions that involve on-campus interviews. An interview date will be scheduled after we review and approve your posting. You may then log in to check submissions, candidate status and schedules. On-campus interviews occur during specific times of the year. If you do not know our recruiting schedule, please contact us before posting your job.

Other Recruiting Services Offered through the Rock Valley College Career Center:

  • Job Leads can be submitted for posting to the Career Services email rvc-careerservices@rockvalleycollege.edu or in person to the Career Services main office on the second floor of the Student Center.
  • We also work with our faculty on connecting qualified students to job opportunities.
  • Campus Recruiting is available by registering to host a table through the Employer On Campus Program in the fall and spring semesters. The program is suspended during the summer months.
  • Career Fair - held during March and September.
  • Posting Internship opportunities is another great way to reach our students. Please submit an Employer Internship Application. The Internship Coordinator will contact you after reviewing your application.

Rock Valley College Career Services Policy
Any employer, or third-party organization representing an employer who uses the RVC Career Services features for the purpose of recruiting full-time, part-time,temporary employees, or interns are expected to comply with federal and state equal opportunity laws.

Information provided to Career Services by students is strictly confidential and only issued to an employer with the written consent from the student.

By registering as an employer with Career Services and utilizing our Employer Services you affirm that:

  • The company represented does not require a start-up fee.
  • The company represented is currently seeking employees.
  • The company represented will not solicit products or services.
  • The positions that the companies are recruiting for are not commission based positions.
  • All staffing agencies/third-party recruiters, must submit a job description and the name of the employers that they are recruiting for prior to registration approval.
  • As a participating employer, you certify that all of the job seeker information that you collect is solely for employment purposes and will not be used to sell or promote products or services.
  • Employers must adhere to federal and Illinois state EEO guidelines.
  • Employers are not allowed to recruit for any individual home based services (i.e. nannies, tutors, elder care, maids, or other home based positions).

Violation of these terms and conditions, and any employer suspected of acting outside the students' and/or applicants' best interests will result in cancellation of all services and will be subject to restriction from future Career Services recruitment events and job fairs. If the employer is on the premises when this is discovered, they will be required to leave the event immediately.
