Columbia-Greene Community College has partnered exclusively with College Central Network® to power its career management platform for its Career Success Office.

College Central Network is a robust career platform designed to provide job seekers with employment opportunities and career development resources, while providing a pipeline of new talent to business and industry. It features opportunities for part-time jobs, internships, and full-time employment, making the job search experience easier and more productive for you.

The platform also provides a quick, easy way to sign up for career fairs, workshops, résumé reviews, and appointments with Career Services staff. You'll find great job and internship opportunities here, as well as relevant career advice resources, including the award-winning College Central Podcast featuring over 125 quick dives into specific career related topics. Plus, you'll have access to the Job Agent, which automatically matches job opportunities to your unique profile.

To date, over six million jobs have been posted by more than two million employers, who are recruiting candidates through the Network—their one-stop shop for recruiting!

For Students

You must register with CCN to use our services.

If you have already registered, or if you have been pre-registered by your school, sign in to begin using our services.

Once registered, you may:

  • Search for jobs posted exclusively to Columbia-Greene Community College and search the Jobs Central® national job board.
  • Build a résumé with Résumé Builder, or upload a résumé file to Resume Central® so you can apply directly to jobs and/or allow it to be searched by employers (if you so authorize). Your résumé will be reviewed by our office and must be approved before it can be sent to employers or submitted online to posted jobs.
  • Build an online portfolio in Career Portfolio Central® to support your résumé and demonstrate your best work to employers.
  • Review your job search history. Report offers/hires.
  • Receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics.
  • Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, career advice videos, podcasts, and career articles from over 125 authors.

Our online Employer Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

You must register your organization with our office prior to accessing these services. Once your registration is reviewed, if it is approved you will receive an email which includes a link to activate your account.

If approved, depending on your access level, you will be able to use some or all of the services listed below:

    Post jobs targeted to Columbia-Greene Community College students, alumni.
  • Résumé Search
    Search résumés of our students, alumni.
  • Portfolio Search
    Search career portfolios that have been prepared by our students, alumni.

C-GCC Career Success staff does not represent or guarantee the qualifications of the candidates using the CareerLink (College Central Network) system or who have applied to opportunities posted to the CareerLink system.

 

We reserve the right NOT TO APPROVE job postings that: do not guarantee stable compensation, require a candidate to invest personal funds upfront, or encourage the sale of a product or service on college campuses. Organizations must accurately describe the responsibilities and requirements for the opportunities it offers in all publicity.

Third-Party Recruiters
Third-party recruiters may use this system to post announcements regarding specific job or internship opportunities – they are not authorized to conduct resume searches. Recruiters must also abide by the following: charge no fees to the candidate, input a position description for valid openings, and comply with all federal and state Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws. All third-party recruiters will be limited to one “Continual Recruitment” posting.

 

Internships
It is strongly preferred that organizations pay interns for work performed. All intern employers are required to adhere to New York State and U.S. Department of Labor law.
