WCC students and alumni are eligible to use the Wilkes Community College online jobs board after completing the following registration process.

1. Go to www.collegecentral.com/wilkescc and click on the Student or Alumni icon at the bottom of the screen.

3. Review the Announcements and Upcoming Events information on the next screen.

3. Click on Create Account

4. Create an Access ID and Password (up to 12 characters using letters, numbers, or the underscore character)then click Continue.

5. Complete all required information on the registration form. Employers will search this information to choose appropriate candidates.

6. Select degree and major that you are pursuing so that the Job Agent can notify you of jobs posted to your school to match your interests.

College Central is available 24/7. Students and alumni are are encouraged to visit often to view the latest job listings. To login, select the Student or Alumni icon then select Sign In on the next screen. Enter your Access ID and Password. If needed, go to "Forgot your Access ID or Password" for assistance.

From your CCN homepage, click Search Postings to My School. To view all jobs, leave all search criteria blank and click Quick Search. You may also search by city, state and/or zip code.

When conducting a job search using CCN, be aware that by selecting several search criteria you are narrowing your search. It is a good idea to conduct a focused search, but also try searching different criteria.

Build, edit, and maintain a portfolio to show prospective employers sample of your work and achievements

Include examples of items highlighted on your resume.

1. Login from the Homepage

2. Under Dashboard click on My Resumes on the left side of the screen.

3. Choose Upload Your Resume (if you have a resume) at the top of the screen or Resume Builder at the bottom in you need help creating a resume.

4. Resume Builder has examples based on career categories. 5. Choose the proper format (typically Chronological), name it, and then click Build It and fill in the boxes.

6. Résumés will only be stored for 18 months from the upload date.

7. After updating or saving a resume, please choose the appropriate Resume Authorization which determines if your resume may be referred to, or searched by employers.

About Our Services

You must register with CCN to use our services. Once registered, you may:

  • Search for jobs posted exclusively to Wilkes Community College; search the Jobs Central® national job board and the Intern Central® national internship board.
  • Build a résumé with Résumé Builder, or upload a résumé file to Resume Central® so you can apply directly to jobs and/or allow it to be searched by employers (if you so authorize).
  • Build an online portfolio in Career Portfolio Central® to support your résumé and demonstrate your best work to employers.
  • Review your job search history. Report offers/hires.
  • Receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics.
  • Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, career advice videos, podcasts, and career articles from over 125 authors.
