About Our Services

Ingram State Technical College has partnered exclusively with College Central Network® to power its career management platform for its Reentry Services.

College Central Network is a robust career platform designed to provide job seekers with employment opportunities and career development resources, while providing a pipeline of new talent to business and industry. It features opportunities for part-time jobs, internships, and full-time employment, making the job search experience easier and more productive for you.

The platform also provides a quick, easy way to sign up for career fairs, workshops, résumé reviews, and appointments with Career Services staff. You'll find great job and internship opportunities here, as well as relevant career advice resources, including the award-winning College Central Podcast featuring over 125 quick dives into specific career related topics. Plus, you'll have access to the Job Agent, which automatically matches job opportunities to your unique profile.

To date, over six million jobs have been posted by more than two million employers, who are recruiting candidates through the Network—their one-stop shop for recruiting!

For Students

Students who earned a certificate, completed the CDL program, or received training at the ATEF Campus or the Life Tech Campuses have been pre-registered to use our CCN services. Your account cannot be activated until you are eligible for employment.

In order to complete the registration process, select the Activate link. If you have activated your account, sign in. If you have difficulty signing in, contact the Reentry Office at (334) 514 -5053.

Once registered, you may:

  • Search for jobs posted exclusively to Ingram State Technical College; search the Jobs Central® national job board and the Intern Central® national internship board.
  • Build a résumé with Résumé Builder, or upload a résumé file to Resume Central® so you can apply directly to jobs and/or allow it to be searched by employers (if you so authorize). Your résumé will be reviewed by our office and must be approved before it can be sent to employers or submitted online to posted jobs.
  • Build an online portfolio in Career Portfolio Central® to support your résumé and demonstrate your best work to employers.
  • Review your job search history. Report offers/hires.
  • Receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics.
  • Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, career advice videos, podcasts, and career articles from over 125 authors.
  • Learn about community resources that will assist you with your transition.

ISTC's mission is to provides comprehensive educational services to incarcerated adults to reduce recidivism and return responsible citizens to society. During your time as a student you acquired valuable skills that are needed by communities all over the state. Now it's time to put those skills to work for you and your community.

ISTC's Reentry Team will help you identify employment opportunities in your field and prepare you to be a competitive job applicant. The Reentry team will also assist you in identifying resources in the community that can provide the transition support you need to succeed.

For Alumni

You must register with CCN to use our services.

If you have already registered, sign in to begin using our services.

This applies if were a student in the last year or if you were a student a decade ago. We are here to help you put the skills you learned to work for you and your community.

ISTC's Reentry Team will help you identify employment opportunities in your field and prepare you to be a competitive job applicant. The Reentry team will also assist you in identifying resources in the community that can provide the transition support you need to succeed.

For Employers

Our online Employer Services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

You must register your organization with our office prior to accessing these services. Once your registration is reviewed, if it is approved you will receive an email which includes a link to activate your account.

ISTC is a fully accredited member of the Alabama Community College system. Our students are trained and motivated to succeed.

The Federal Government provides bonding to the formerly incarcerated, and employers who provide a second chance receive a tax credit for every formerly incarcerated worker they hire.
