About Our Services

McHenry County College has partnered exclusively with College Central Network® to power its career management platform for its Career Services Office.

College Central Network is a robust career platform designed to provide job seekers with employment opportunities and career development resources, while providing a pipeline of new talent to business and industry. It features opportunities for part-time jobs, internships, and full-time employment, making the job search experience easier and more productive for you.

The platform also provides a quick, easy way to sign up for career fairs, workshops, résumé reviews, and appointments with Career Services staff. You'll find great job and internship opportunities here, as well as relevant career advice resources, including the award-winning College Central Podcast featuring over 125 quick dives into specific career related topics. Plus, you'll have access to the Job Agent, which automatically matches job opportunities to your unique profile.

To date, over six million jobs have been posted by more than two million employers, who are recruiting candidates through the Network—their one-stop shop for recruiting!

For Students

Once registered, you may:

  • Search for jobs posted exclusively to McHenry County College; search the Jobs Central® national job board and the Intern Central® national internship board.
  • Build a résumé with Résumé Builder, or upload a résumé file to Resume Central® so you can apply directly to jobs and/or allow it to be searched by employers (if you so authorize).
  • Build an online portfolio in Career Portfolio Central® to support your résumé and demonstrate your best work to employers.
  • Review your job search history. Report offers/hires.
  • Receive emails about programs, services and job-related topics.
  • Gain access to announcements, upcoming events, career advice documents, career advice videos, podcasts, and career articles from over 125 authors.

MCC's FREE on-line job site where employers can connect with job-seekers and register for career fairs and networking events.

You must register your organization. Once your registration is reviewed and approved you will receive an email which includes a link to activate your account.

Employers can post with either McHenry County College exclusively or with the CCJobNet partnership. When an employer registers with CCJobNet their opportunities will be posted to ALL of the schools in the partnership.

    Post jobs targeted to McHenry County College students, alumni, community residents.
  • Résumé Search
    Search résumés of our students, alumni, community residents. When searching for alumni, your results may include community residents.
  • Portfolio Search
    Search career portfolios that have been prepared by our students, alumni, community residents.
  • On-Campus Recruitment
    Career Services offers employers informal on-campus recruiting opportunities. Recruiting times are from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. throughout the school year. To schedule an on-campus recruiting day call 815-455-8566.
  • Internships
    If you are interested in developing an internship for a McHenry County College student, contact Catherine Jones at cjones60@mchenry.edu.
